Ruby Lucas had dated her fair share of men. There had been the little relationships, the one night stands, the fix ups. Her big relationships numbered two - her high school sweetie Peter and Victor the doctor that Belle’s husband had set her up with. But even those relationships hadn’t lasted as long as the one she had had with Archie.

Not that it could really count as a relationship. She served him coffee at Granny’s every morning on his way to his office. He always ordered the same - white coffee with an extra shot of espresso - although Ruby was pretty sure he didn’t like it. Still, watching Archie come in with his umbrella was the highlight of Ruby’s day. She got to watch him take off his cap, watch him approach the small queue of people and got to see him smile at her like the sun had just risen.

The time between eight oh five and eight fifteen in the morning was her favourite of the day.

Red Cricket Week: The When

Hi guys!

I know this maybe an early post but alas I must be at work all day so I’m hoping to generate some thoughts while I’m gone (I’m never truly gone, yay iPhone).

When would you guys like to hold it? I personally work full time but get on tumblr (mostly the app) during the day. So basically I could do this at any time.

I don’t know if the app will allow you to answer this post but if not, either reblog or inbox or ask or however you like!

Thoughts?

I’m game whenever. I’m (in theory) off work until the 4th of June, after which I will work full time all summer (at least 11 weeks, hopefully more), but that won’t stop me from writing. :)

How will the RC week work? I have never been part of a week like this before so I have no idea what to expect. (Am very excited though.) Having designated days for posting might be nice since it would spread the new stuff over the whole week instead of fics being posted hither and thither - but that would require some sort of sign-up, I guess… (And really, hither and thither is ever so charming, do we really care as long as we get Red Cricket goodies?)

Anyways, no matter how you end up doing this - count me in! :D

Thank you, sweetie! :D So far it’s been a very good one: I didn’t have to deal with more than a few moronic customers at work today, I snuck in a few minutes here and there working on one of the “angsty Archie” prompts (Shh! Secret!), and the sun is shining like mad…. Oh, and I got a hug from my boss! :P

I have called it ‘guiding path’ which is what I named the LJ community because thought it doesn’t state RedCricket, it makes you think! Its what I miss about shipping, as much as I love the OUAT fandom, it seems ship names have taken the easy way out ;)
